One week prior to the fair:
  • Unloading trailers
  • Set up inside the tents
  • Home Arts Set-up
  • Home Arts Registration
  • Livestock Set-up
  • Setting up chairs and tables
  • Hanging signs
  • Decorating the tents
  • Temporary Fencing
  • General Grounds work
During the fair:
  • Special Kingdom Games (see your catalog info)
  • Small Animal Care
  • Livestock Shows
  • Hospitality Tent set up daily; twice on Saturday
  • Ticket sales at back gate
  • Line Attendants
  • Tent Monitors
After the fair:
  • Tear down
  • Loading trailers
  • Load up/Clean up everywhere!

Albemarle County Fair, Inc., a nonprofit, regionally based corporation, has as its primary mission to annually sponsor the Albemarle County Fair. This Fair is primarily focused on serving the Charlottesville-Albemarle area by promoting the involvement of the area’s public and visitors in its programming. The programs strive to provide wholesome entertainment and activities that emphasize the deep human, natural, and agricultural resources of Central Virginia.
